Some quick-fire, shoot-from-the-hip satirical responses to today's tech news around the internet. We are The Pisstakers for a reason!

I'm glad I was such a sleuth so early in the morning because I like Drivl and their samples of website visualisations

quote-of-the-day
A blogger is a fool, who, not content with boring those living with him, insists on tormenting the general public. (Modified Montesquieu quote) (Daily quote.)

Ed the Editor's personal blog corner

I just visited the local store and had to interact with a teenage shop assistant. Interact is a bit of an exaggeration. I was able to make a transaction after she bothered to sloth her way out of a conversation with a co-worker at the other end of the store. Could she have got any further from her register?

And on the way back home, I passed a hooded shuffling woman sniffing and skulking around a park, so bored with life that the trash was totally absorbing her. Happy days.

It got me thinking, "Why does that brain dead shop worker even bother going to work? She is bored shitless. What has that junkie woman got to live for?"

One answer is "
While there is life there is hope". At least that is what I hang on to when things aren't going too well, like on a Monday morning punctuated by an encounter with two bored people seemingly living without hope!

When I got home, for once, the TV was on for a good reason. I watched Thomas Fischer, 79, with a smile on my face. He works as a guide at the Baltimore Aquarium and listening to him interact with kids, teens and older folks, it was very inspiring. That guy puts most people 60 years his junior, to shame.

He is old and doddery, but he's curious about life and interested in people and wants to make the world a better place, ecologically at least. Tom Fischer, 79, certainly made crabs and grass and seashores interesting and relevant to this landlubber. He made an impact in his quiet way and provoked great chats from inquisitive starry eyed kids. That confirmed to me that, while he is alive, the people Tom Fischer touches have hope.

Hopefully, while those two socially retrograde people I mentioned earlier are still alive and kicking, one day they will meet someone like Tom who opens their eyes to what is around them. Let's hope they are inspired to seek out all the good stuff in life. Maybe they will get into blogging and enjoy the fruits of what happens when you put yourself out there. Sorry to be boring. Back to work!
