The quote took me back to a time when three square meals a day meant the old man just got paid and the day after we would be back on lard sandwiches.

I came across a very sobering website that worked on the premise of a world condensed into 100 people. The population would be predominantly Asian, and the top 5 richest would own 32% of the wealth. Those 5 would all be Americans! Sort of a distorted picture, because no doubt when asked about their roots, those Americans would reply "I am Welsh" or "I am Polish".

I currently feel healthy, unlike the 1 million people due to die this week, so I will sign out and wish you, one of the privileged 1% of internet-connected people in the world, a happy, guilt-ridden weekend.
