4GB USB STORAGE $26.22
06/03/07 Filed in: Thumb drive

Techboggles Deal of the Day today is another variation on a theme, this time 4GB of space for hundred of essays, or lecture notes to last you till doomsday and addresses galore. Sure beats the old fashioned schoolbag/satchel.
Then again, if you take a clunker Dell laptop to school, it weighs in just as heavy as a few books.
Crucial 2GB SD CARD $15.99
26/02/07 Filed in: SD card

Techboggle's deal of the day features another great price for a 2GB memory card for all you budding photographers. Used in tandem with yesterday's bargain basement 8 Mega pixel camera, and you are good to go.
After a few comments on memory cards, it makes me wonder how real journalists keep their material fresh, because frankly, there isn't much else to say once you have reviewed one product, is there? Although I guess the pros aren't allowed to suggest that perhaps these deals must have a catch! ie Is some Chinaman in a storeroom in Bangkok sticking Crucial logos on his homemade memory cards and your photos will stay stored for three days before bombing?
8MP 5x Optical KODAK DIGITAL CAMERA $175.99
24/02/07 Filed in: Camera

Techboggle's Deal of the Day is a mega megapixel camera. Not that we are knocking this particular camera, but according to David Pogue, one pixel over 5 Megapixels is one pixel too many for 99% of users. The real features to take note of are the optical zoom and such unglamorous gizmos like the flash.
Of course this dotd camera is still a great buy, but get a hard drive while you are at it, because 8 megapixel cameras produce massive files - and still take blurry pictures in the wrong hands.
19″ Widescreen LCD Monitor, $149.99
22/02/07 Filed in: Monitor

Techboggle's Deal of the day at the end of last month was a colorful 19" lcd screen. Looks like quite a good product for computer owners in the megapixel digital image age. I speak as a Mac user of course, because Windows users only look at spreadsheets and work documents
30GB Creative Video Player $164.99 AR
21/02/07

Techboggle's Deal of the Day at the end of January was a Creative Zen MP3 player. The dealio may still be on.
Funny how Creative came up with the name Zen, the antithesis of all things mind-numbing. Zen was never meant to come in the form of 30GB of mindless pop music blaring out and distracting a person from the harsh realities of life. Zen is about peace and quiet and contemplation. The Zen silent CD player, the Zen white screen video player, that is more like it.
Black Vison 17″ LCD Monitor $129.99 AR
20/02/07 Filed in: Monitor

Techboggle's Deal of the Day takes us into the tech bargain land of lcd monitors. 17" is about the minimum size now that many websites are designed for, so enjoy the moment, because before too long, if you don't have a 23 incher, you will be such a passé web surfer.
Western Digital External HD 500GB $149.99
19/02/07 Filed in: Hard drive

Techboggle's Deal of the Day is another half terabyte Hard Disk Drive. One day soon, they will be giving these things away free with Cornflakes. Then it will be a deal that offers free hard drive with a bottle of milk after rebate. And after that, they will be paying you to hook these things up to your computer. Madness.
Apacer Handy Steno AH320 1GB USB Drive $10.49
18/02/07 Filed in: Thumb drive

Techboggle's Deal of the Day is some more thumb-size storage. But looking at its sleek lines and toggle on the end, the USB drive could also double as some understated bling hanging from a chain round your neck.
500GB HD $139.99
16/02/07 Filed in: Hard drive

Techboggle's Deal of the Day on Feb 1 was another 500 gigger Hard drive for under $140. Buyer beware though. Techboggle were quick to react to the reviews saying the Maxtor was a potential pile of crappy disks. Hence their search (and discovery) of a string of better quality HDDs at similar silly prices.
Connect 3D 512MB SDCARD Free AR
15/02/07 Filed in: SD card

Techboggle's latest deal of the day is a memory card that goes beyond a bargain - it is free, gratis, zilch after the rebate. In the long run, though, the urge to fill your card with endless award-winning photographs could prove expensive - travel to interesting and exotic locations doesn't come free even with rebates.
500GB 7200 RPM External Hard Drive $161.10
14/02/07 Filed in: Hard drive

Techboggle's latest deal of the day is an even more insanely priced half terabyte storage drive.
Remember when it was roughly a dollar a gig? That must have been all of a year or two ago. 12 months is a long long time in the world of hard drives.
500GB External Harddrive $226.99
14/02/07 Filed in: Hard drive

Techboggle's latest deal of the day If you have a twitchy digital camera finger, then you deserve to treat yourself to one of these monsters. And if you think it is stupid to think in terms of half a terabyte, look at it as an investment, because one day you will be glad of its capacity.
Two years ago I bought a 120GB drive and my friend looked at me like i dropped off the moon. 2 years on with no effort whatsoever, I am juggling and swapping and burning stuff to CD just to keep it from over-flowing. Where's my check book when I need it?!
1GB Thumb Drive $15.99!
12/02/07 Filed in: Thumb drive

Techboggle's latest deal of the day is a 1GB thumb drive thingy for under $16. Storage capacity and pricing is getting mad, but this gadget which appears on Darwin's birthday, I believe, proves that computer users' thumb devices really do separate them from the rest of the animal kingdom.
Seagate 320GB 7200RPM $79.99 AR
11/02/07 Filed in: Hard drive

Techboggle's latest deal of the day is a stomping great 320GB Seagate hard drive for just under $80. Sort of makes you feel old recalling when a 10MB hard drive was something to brag about.
