Solitaire til dawn - the ultimate in obscure
Sounds almost compelling enough to try before buying. Until you realise the software requires System 7.x to run. Like er what? Which version of Windows is 7.x? Wrong. This system OS, codenamed Big Bang, was hip in the obscure Mac world in 1991!! Isn't it time to delete this kids domain web page?
Peg solitaire
Peg Solitaire has apparently made it to cell phones these days. Viewer Bart wrote asking for help in solving the game on his. It turns out that this is hardest solvable one I've seen so far. I didn't find any shortcuts but Peg Solitaire Version 3 finds a solution for one peg left in the center hole in about and hour after trying 4.3 billion moves!
Is this guy some sort of robot? How do you do 4.3 billion anythings in an hour? This is all too much to take in for us simpleton pisstakers.
See all the gory details of the evolution of this kid's game, adopted by adults, on this Delphi for fun homage to the game.

No wonder it captures the attention of so many people for so long. They play on the addiction of trying to beat such an annoying game (he says, having played twice before giving up in boredom.) and it should certainly come with a Government health warning right now. Not even Tony Blair has got that many moves.
Thanks to these Solitaire experts for the enlightening story.
Solitaire or patience or...
Quite frightening how far humans can take an idea. Apparently there are as many as 1000 slight variations of this game. Help. Even Whist sounds like fun now.

Solitaire world record?
In my prime i had a score of 26 seconds and back in my home land my fellow students would run a solitare club were we would all compete ever day to keep our minds strong. Being a geek as you put it was a great privlidge as it showed that you are educated and came from a respected family. - by Boryenka Samochernyi
Solitaire - the game they tried to ban!
From Karl Marx to Tom Peters, many great minds have tried to get the most out of the workers. You have to wonder, though, how many years does it take for business people to advance their thinking. It sounds like US office workers are increasingly going through the motions in working conditions, that apart from swish lighting, aircon and comfy seats, (plus solitaire for now) are akin to life pre Karl marx! You have to ask yourself, if someone is so bored that playing solitaire is stimulating, then the problem is not with the game, it's with the job (From csmonitor.com).
Quantity is more important than quality.
Even high performance drug-pimping athletics coaches have realised that performance improves if people aren't worked to death. But no, business is different, it isn't real life! Rather than empower people to work hard and with a spring in their step, the law makers want to take away another liberty and diversion, Solitaire!
It sounds like the great mind games are actually in the legislative halls not on the bored employee's computer screen.
