I have a crap dishwasher

It's official, we have a crap dishwasher from a good appliances company.

I now have a list of instructions from a very switched-on technician. It is a How to tweak your dishwasher for dummies. Turn the heat up to 120 degrees, don't let any plates protrude below rack section A and C. Run the waste disposal first, don't let that tube kink; make sure the pots and pans cycle is on if you want really clean dishes...

Give me the patience to clean my dishes and the strength to not throttle the builder. Don't you just love it when you pay hundreds of thousands for a place only to find the builder installed appliances that are so shite, not even Home Depot carry the range!

I am a bloke, a guy, a person who uses dishwashers, because I haven't got the brains to clean stuff by hand.This machine is no good to me, it has knacks and tricks and techniques. So now, what do I do? Buy a new swanky dishwasher for a couple of hundred, or learn the quirks of the appliance sat there now, winking at me, saying, "Come on, dumbo, make me work properly!"

The jury is out, but a letter is sat waiting for mailing to a skin-flint developer who, thanks to idiots like us paying him all that money for crap, probably has a maid to do his dishes. Am I wrong to think this way?
