MyBlogLog Sunday week 33

As per the "rules", the 10 bloggers in the screenshot will get a mini review, my finest PR4 backlink, plus a link to your MyBlogLog community... and to keep the ball rolling, I will stumble any posts from any bloggers (featured or not) who leave a link to their own favorite post of the week. What more do you want?!
I'll tell you what else! You usually get a comment too, which should prevent me from getting lynched for hypocrisy in the current environment of comment awareness.
I still haven't been able to invent a neat new twist in the MyBlogLog Sunday feature, so the plans are still so secret, they are almost impossible to hide.
33
Just for the record, 33 is the most important number in the wine mecca of Bordeaux. I couldn't work out why everywhere you go you see 33 lotto, 33 taxi cabs, etc etc. About 9 months into my stay I knew enough French and had enough interest to ask what it was all about, and it turned out that Bordeaux is the 33rd region in France. Personally I think 33 should be the number of feet underground they should bury French bureaucrats, but that is my sinister personal opinion.
What I didn't know till I Googled, was that 33 appears on the back of Rolling Rock beer.
33 signifies two things: the year Prohibition was repealed (1933), and the number of words in the legend printed above the number on cans and returnable bottles. I quote:
So there you have it, 33, an important number for drinkers. Let's see if the reviews can get you drunk on excitement.

MyBlogLog Sunday week 32

Enough of disrupted sleep patterns and nights without warm wives. As usual, the 10 bloggers in the screenshot will get a mini review, a relatively juicy PR4 backlink, plus a link to your MyBlogLog community... and for grins, I will stumble any posts from any bloggers (featured or not) who leave a link to their own favorite post of the week. What more do you want?!
There are murmurings about a neat new twist in the MyBlogLog Sunday feature, but as yet, plans are so secret, I would have to kill myself if I revealed more. So stay tuned.

MyBlogLog Sunday week 31

This is the time to address the 10 mini reviewees, ie the last MyBlogLog bloggers who visited this site before I hit blogger mode today. Stars from WolfBernz to OlgaTTB are getting reviewed in normal fashion. The only proviso this week, is that I am not sure if the reviews will materialize today, it is all internet connection-dependent! And, sorry, but no video from Breaking News. We have had our chance of glory, much appreciated, guys, and I have been awakened to look for more media opportunities in the future. Something, anything, to keep this feature fresh and alive!! Only kidding.
Reviewed bloggers get a juicy
(Usually this kicks off at 10 - 11 am Eastern time, but I have no clue what time it is anywhere, what with a new time zone, changing clocks and a series of out-of-whack phones and laptop.) Have a good one.

Rob rock 'n rolls around the internet & discovered a site called Jamendo where you can legally download albums for free. The bands are obscure, so although you can download, will you necessarily want to?
Sanibel Lighthouse gets an insanitary amount of attention on Debbie's excellent blog. Thousands of dead fish landed amidst a flood of theories on what caused their demise. Something stinks here.
Save Our Forest gives 15 reasons to go vegetarian. Perhaps a non-meat diet will reduce chances of death from degenerative disease, but won't living on lettuce result 100% in death by starvation?
Ses is a computer geek with an imaginative About Me page. It is in the form of a Q&A session. She must rank as the smartest thing to come out of Belgium since, I dunno, Jean-Claude van Damme or Wavumi?
Split Brain have been performing electronic brain surgery since 2001. 300 RSS readers, hundreds of varied posts, and 2 launches paint a picture of persistence and smarts. Bookmark
Diane is to arts and crafts what Hannibal Lector is to human liver recipes - there seems to be no limit to her creativity. Paper, book-binding and "Paper, scissors, stone" it's all there.
N-n-n-n-nineteen, a video and song they tried to ban. N-n-n-n-never again will there be a repeat of Vietnam? N-n-n-n-o, it is different this time round. Average age of death, n-n-n-nearer 30.
OS9 User had a sleepless night pondering the upcoming video broadcast of MyBlogLog Sunday. It is easy for an outsider with no pressure to say relax & enjoy, but really, relax & enjoy. Let the muse take over.
OK - MyBlogLog Sunday is over for another day. I will be stumbling and admin-ing later because partying ghosties and ghoulies are taking over the house for a few hours!
As you may have gathered, this episode of MyBlogLog Sunday is also being video-ed by Breaking News. A round of applause to the team and a rocket up the featured bloggers to spread the word!
On Wednesday, the video will be available from Breaking News / and for embedding in your blog, hint, hint.

Look out for the finished vid later in the week and enjoy the moment (BN cameras are heading for pastures new to study other blogs, so this will be the last movie action here for some time.)
As usual, the 10 bloggers in the screenshot will get a mini review, a juicy PR5 backlink, plus a link to your MyBlogLog community... and for grins, I will stumble any posts from bloggers who leave a link to their own favorite post of the week.

Special soon-to-be-broadcast version!
2 Dolphins stick 2 fingers to SUVs and safety, two terms that don't mix. Logically, bigger is better, but not when bigger means taller and easier to flip. For off-roading, I prefer a mountain bike, but I'm weird.
53% bumblebee, 47% bookworm, 100% blogger, Nessa generates a lot of buzz on her site, mumbling about multifarious daily thots. (Maybe alter the stats a little to allow for 2% bad speller?)
Debbie continues to brighten up the world with info on New England lighthouses. Ironically, I missed the NJ challenge, because I went West this weekend looking at boats. If we move, we'll need her sister blog.
Save Our Forest packs a big punch blogging about global climate change. It isn't all doom 'n gloom, however. If Australia dries up, their cricket team will emigrate and sign up for England. Fair result.
Compliments are flying aplenty at Larry's site. Talking of flying, he recently returned from Europe and relates how his stomach turned to spaghetti with someone else behind the wheel of a sporty Italian number.
Steamy Marvalus One opines on a variety of random topics close to her big heart. Sounds like she has a writing addiction, but is on the mend, down to 3 blogs! She must have had a reinforced keyboard.
With a death on the cards for adventuring Lord Likely, it is time for a lighter look at life through the goggle eyes of Andy Fanton's blockbuster Carotty Kid. Eat your greens, folks, they're good for your humor.
If you can write, why not write something before midnight for the John C believes in Me contest. You may win yourself a gift in a plain brown wrapper. The mind boggles, but it will be worth it.
Primarily a successful blog directory, Blog Dumps is taking on Youtube with its pimped out BlogDumps Video service. The first MBL Sunday Video broadcast will therefore break all the rules & premier on 2 sites.

Dede at 2 Dolphins finds 10 things to do with a plastic bag. I shudder to think what the sandwiches taste like after recycling the shopping bag into a doggy-do collector into a lunch bag.
I thought OS9 User was losing his breaking news touch with a story about Vista crashing, but it seems he has insider info on corporate buyers who insist on upgrading their PC depts with XP. THAT's interesting.
Link and Earn (not Link and Learn as I mistakenly wrote earlier) encourage you to brag about your contest victories. Will they be shouting about a memory card contest victory of their own, later?
For illuminating posts about New England lighthouses go no further than Debbie Dolphin. She also re-named me Peon Whisperer, so as not to put off her PG readers from visiting my flashy XXX site.
From Photos to Search Engines to Techipedia, Tamar seems to be inquisitive, curious, knowledgeable and a prolific blogger with the writing energy of a small power station.
"I’m quiet, mysterious and hardworking ...." Blogging is obviously a perfect platform for the 10th of March. Out of interest, do they reveal themselves on this special day, or is that all part of the mystery?
Gulp, a CSS expert getting reviewed on The Pisstakers, a site whose Tech section crashes Safari. I can't stand the shame, but you should check out LA Lindsey for a shed load of her WP themes.
Cheesy Marketing Ramblings is a title guaranteed to grab the attention of a Pisstaker. As a bonus, the posts are top notch too, with loads of links, good points & humor. I think I best go there for my material.
Terri has expanded her horizons beyond a daily work, home and play blog and is heading into photo terri-tory. Snaps of cats and nature and one-liners show another side to her never-a-dull-moment life.
Another gulp, this time I have to review Andy Beard, an authority in the glam world of Blog search engine performance, Wordpress & general niche & affiliate marketing tips. Famous for... (shit, I run out of space.)
OK - MyBlogLog Sunday is over for another day.
I have had to make some space here to announce a very sad day in the recent history of The Pisstakers. Our great friend, inspiration and belly laugh generator, His Right Honorable lord Likely, failed to get up in time for MyBlogLog Sunday. Consequently, he has missed a chance to plug another episode in his brilliant adventure in America. If you will please join me in silence and pray that he gets his ass in gear for next week. Thank you for your time.
MyBloglog Sunday Week 28

Just to remind you if you didn't know, the 10 blogs that have been digitally captured in the screenshot when I eventually get up on a Sunday morning each get a mini review later on today. They also get a juicy PR5 backlink, plus a link to their MyBlogLog community... and as it is Sunday, and we are supposed to play nice at least one day a week, I will even stumble posts from the bloggers who leave a link to their own favorite post of the week.
This is a sort of link love feature, but ironically, since last week, my Technorati ranking has fallen down the toilet. Apparently I am not alone, and Linda has even removed her technorati authority widgety thing in disgust. Down with technorati, come the revolution... yadda yadda yadda.

Untwisted Vortex is blogging from the Phillipines but his point comes across the globe loud and clear when he talks about Technorati failings, Wordpress tips and blog promotion. Excellent networker too.
An excellent post flows from the pen of Rob in which he predicts that music, art and computer graphics will combine to create stunning new album art. Or are the old album sleeves still the best?
In between gaming, following college football, and smarting at the fines handed out to a (fellow) P2P music sharer, KDub leads such a busy life, he'll never be short of blogging material.
John highlights a disturbing issue affecting the provision of food for homeless folk in Jacksonville. Bottom line, the haves need their heads banging against their overflowing larder doors.
A look at a growing trend where the lucky sods who cruise to Hawaii, are flying home under their own steam, thus depriving travel agents of the plane fare commission. It is tough at the top.
OS9 User continues to bring us breaking news, and made a prediction that came true - he would be featured in MBL Sunday this week! Any idea what's going to happen on Wall St on Tuesday?
Not many bloggers would translate their posts into the language of an interested new reader, but Rodrigo did just that with his Speak English in America post. I can now read it in English.
Scary is the keyword here. Spine tingling videos, games, adverts, in fact anything that makes you jump or go bump in the night in the middle of a nightmare. Bookmark for halloween and beyond

Before I head off, I thought this video clip from Blue Beaver Beer would make you smile. And here's a joke I heard from a TV preacher man.
A Hindu, a Jew and a TV evangelist are traveling together. They have nowhere to stay, so they knock on a farmhouse door. The farmer says two can stay in the house, but one has to sleep in the barn.
The Hindu volunteers, but 10 minutes later there is a knock on the door. He says there is a cow in the barn, it is sacred and he can't sleep there.
"No problem," says the Jew, "I'll sleep in the barn." 10 minutes later there is a knock on the door. He says there is a pig in the barn, it isn't kosher and he can't sleep there.
"No problem," says the TV evangelist, "I'll sleep in the barn." 10 minutes later there is a knock on the door. The farmer opens the door and there is a pig and a cow.

So endeth the MyBlogLog Sunday posts for this week.

More frightening than Ms Hawn was the darkness of the dead of night outside. I haven't seen 5.30 in months and I don't wish to see it again, thanks very much. On the plus side I felt remarkably awake, so I thought I would do some blogging.
The 10 MyBlogLog bloggers who last visited this site are in the screenshot and for their troubles, they will each get a mini review later on today. The wit and juicy PR5 backlink prevail, plus a link to each MyBlogLog community and a stumble for the bloggers who leave a link to their own fave post of the week.
Contest
The 25th MBL Sunday birthday contest was a bit a flop, but I have come back with a new one that has nothing directly to do with MyBlogLog Sunday!!! Blog about any article in my super x-fruits mega RSS feed, (50 words will do), send me a link to the post, and the most amusing or engaging one will win a $39 memory card for their troubles. Ends October 14th, 2 entries already. Hurry, hurry..

The 10 MyBlogLog bloggers who last visited this site prior to my late start at blogging have been snapped and will get a mini review later on today. In the Ed style of things, these blogs will be summed up in a few choice words which include a juicy PR5 backlink and a link to their MyBlogLog community. If the bloggers leave a link to their own fave post of the week, I will stumble that post too.
I don't know if it is me being dumb, but I have Stumbled posts via the toolbar and sometimes I am asked to write a review, and other times I just get the Thumbs Up without any review options. I assume others have already stumbled and reviewed those thumbs-up posts and I am just adding to the votes or such like. Is that right, or am I failing in my Stumbling duties
Prize day
I only saw one Technorati mention of MBL Sunday this week, so the 25th birthday contest was a bit a flop. Rather than draw attention to the embarrassing turn out, I will quietly rethink a new contest. Dum de dum de dum....

MyBlogLog Sunday 26 is coming Sunday
Anyone with a MyBloglog account who calls by this site tomorrow morning may be captured in the screenshot of my sidebar. By sundown they will then suffer a few wise words from sharp shooter, Ed.
Don't be fooled by the spin. This is all a thinly disguised attempt to garner some link love for you guys out there. The Pisstakers is a PR5 site and that means some Technorati and Google kudos for most of the blogs I review. So, join the Sunday phenomenon that is about as big as a Welsh village church congregation. You can even add to its weight with some mention or other of MBL Sunday on your own blog. Take a leaf out of Principled Discovery's book. They gave us a few moments of praise, it felt good!
Last week, to celebrate 25 issues, I did offer some gummi bears and an unidentified electrical appliance for the best review of MyBlogLog Sunday, but the response has been underwhelming. Therefore, i will have to dream up a more inspiring way to give away some goodies! Hasta tomorrow.
MyBlogLog Sunday week 25

For the 25th time in recent history the 10 most recent bloggers to visit this site have been snapped and will get a mini review later on today. In the Ed style of things, these blogs will be summed up in a few choice words which include a juicy PR5 backlink and a link to their MyBlogLog community. If the bloggers leave a link to their own fave post of the week, I will stumble that post too.
Prize day
If you care to write a killer post about MyBlogLog Sunday, send me the link. I will post all the links next week and we can have a little community vote and the winner will get some goodies, including Gummi Bears and an electrical appliance.
A brief history of MyBlogLog Sunday
When I was thinking of new ways to be a good community-minded blogger, I did think about sending free articles, $25 gift vouchers, and a partridge in a pear tree to every visitor to my site. On reflection (and a quick financial appraisal) MyBlogLog Sunday mini reviews seemed to be a more practical way to provide link love whilst adding content worth tuppence to the internet. And so, I launched the format and apart from a mid-summer glitch, every Sunday has been the same here!
Judging by the stats, though, I think that I was a bit idealistic about the aims of MyBlogLog Sunday. It seems that if I had simply added bloggers' names to a link train or some such list, they (and me) would rapidly have a Technorati ranking to die for without needing to suffer 250 mini reviews!
Despite the evidence, though, I prefer to remain idealistic and will continue to mini review MyBlogLog members until the unlikely event that MyBlogLog fizzles out and/or Technorati rankings trail off into statistical irrelevance. Enjoy.

MyBlogLog Sunday 25 is coming Sunday
The air will be full of 10 mini reviews of well known, unknown and little known blogs from the MyBlogLog network. Many online stars have been featured.
All you have to do to participate is be a MyBlogLog member, and if you visit here on Sunday morning and are caught in the side bar widget when I take a snapshot, you will be reviewed, like it or not! And if you leave a link to your best post of the week, regardless of being reviewed or not, I will Stumble the post too. (See the new sidebar widget that actually generates real link love for the Stumble posts!)
If you are reviewed, perhaps you might find time to link back to The Pisstakers in some simple way, just to keep the momentum going. See you later.
MyBlogLog Sunday week 24

The good thing about blogging on Sundays is that instead of washing the clean car, mowing the manicured lawn or contemplating heaven in a noisy church, I can have fun on my own, promoting 10 MyBlogLog blogs that you may or may not be familiar with. Praise the blog world for such mercies.
In case you are thinking, "wtf is he blabbing on about", today's featured bloggers got snapped in the left sidebar widget and get a mini review for their troubles. With a juicy PR5, this will add to your link ranking, or at least consolidate your technorati rank if you already have a link from me.
Also, as it is Sunday, I will Stumble anyone who leaves a link in the comments to their best post of the week. You have till 6pm Eastern time.
Technorati troubles
Judging by the paucity of back links to MyBlogLog Sunday, I guess there has been trouble in Technorati land.
I just pinged the big T manually and they updated my account. Let's hope that evidence of past MBL Sunday reviews filters through Technorati to the reactions page of 200+ featured blogs.
In a perfect world, when bloggers check their Technorati account and see they have been promoted here, they should be motivated to mention the Pisstakers on their own blog in a good, bad or indifferent way? We shall see if this recent technoratical glitch is the source of a communication break down.
Meanwhile, would people be so kind as to join my Stumble network, currently populated by 2 friends. Maybe Stumble love may prove to be a more balanced indicator of the state of a site's health? We shall see

MyBlogLog Sunday 24 is here Sunday!
Ed writes 10 marginally witty mini reviews of well known, unknown and little known blogs from the MyBlogLog network. Many online stars have been featured and get a free PR5 link.
All you have to do is be a MyBlogLog member, and if you visit here on Sunday morning and are caught in the side bar widget when I take a snapshot, you will be reviewed, like it or not! And if you leave a link to your best post of the week, regardless of being reviewed or not, I will Stumble the post too.
And if you are a good marketer, you might find time to link back to The Pisstakers in some simple way. Not many PR5 sites are as willing as us to link to and promote bloggers of all ages.
MyBlogLog Sunday week 23

I see some old regulars have returned, bienvenidos, and I wish bonne chance to the newbies, especially those with the provocative names. I feel some satirical sparks coming on!
Today's featured bloggers can enjoy a double whammy if you play your cards right. You get a mini review by default, but if you leave a link in the comments to your best post of the week before 6pm Eastern time, I will also Stumble you.
Stumble Upon
Talking of Stumbling... Originally I was hoping that the MyBlogLog Sunday feature would do something for my Technorati ranking, but you know how hopes go. I am still languishing! According to the internet popularity game that seems to have evolved, I am considerably less popular than loads of blogs with a fraction of the traffic I attract, go figure.
I am a reasonable person, so, until I get my head around that bizarre state of affairs, I will only raise one finger to Technorati, instead of the preferred 2. That will, of course, change when I come up with a novel game the technorati rankings strategy that adds content not just link lists to the internet.
Meanwhile, would people be so kind as to join my Stumble network, currently populated by 2 friends. Maybe Stumble love may prove to be a more balanced indicator of the state of a site's health? We shall see

MyBlogLog Sunday 23 tomorrow
This will involve mini reviews numbers 221 to 230, and a mighty fine group you are set to join, if your site is reviewed. From the founder of MyBlogLog, Eric, to new kids with no friends in their community, many online stars have been featured and linked to.
All you have to do is be a MyBlogLog member, and if you visit my site and are caught in the side bar widget on Sunday morning when I take a snapshot, you will be reviewed, like it or not! And if you leave a link to your best post of the week, regardless of being reviewed or not, I will Stumble the post too. How much better can it get? Episode 25 will be good!
What is in a number?
MyBlogLog Sunday grew up last week and I celebrated the special landmark of 21 weeks with a bumper edition presented inside an accordion! Tomorrow is edition 22, an unspectacular number, unless you are a duck, so I will resort to the traditional format.
25 is a lucky number round here, and I may well be throwing some prizes and goodies into the Sunday mix in a month's time. Just so you know!
Talking numbers, thanks to the 8115 people who visited the site in August. It looks like over 200 have been visiting daily via the xfruits RSS feed too, so not a bad result for a holiday-riddled month and the visitor trends continue upwards.
5 are better than 1 There are rumors circulating that the Pisstakers are going international and Ed is seeking correspondents in (or somewhere sort of near to) London, Paris, Vancouver, or Sydney. It is mad. The paparazzi say he is offering a slice of the Pisstakers action to select writers who don't want the hassle of running a new blog, but do have the inclination to submit ONE measly article a week with local flavor and a bit of wit thrown in.
It sounds crazy to me, but if you feel like making the rumors come true and piggy-backing off the traffic here, let's talk.
25 is a lucky number round here, and I may well be throwing some prizes and goodies into the Sunday mix in a month's time. Just so you know!
5 are better than 1 There are rumors circulating that the Pisstakers are going international and Ed is seeking correspondents in (or somewhere sort of near to) London, Paris, Vancouver, or Sydney. It is mad. Thanks for calling by to get the scoop on another 10 happening blogs. I appreciate the emails and links and shout outs from participants and hope you see positive results from all this too..
From my point of view, it seems that by going to the effort of putting on this feature, I confound the concensus who say that weekends are a dead time for content blogs. (Apparently, regular visitors stay away when they aren't at work surfing from employers' PCs.)
To be honest, there is not much of a blip to report here, so do I have to conclude that most of my regular visitors are very rich because they don't go to work and have a PC at home - or is it the opposite and they all work 7 days a week? Before I get on the wrong side of all you hard-working souls and blog traffic theorists, I will leave it there.
Just to remind today's featured bloggers that if you leave a link in the comments to your best post of the week before 6pm Eastern time, I will also stumble the post. (One more touch to make MyBloglog Sundays a super special link love extravaganza that you can't fail to miss.)

Good to see so many new faces. Must be the early risers sneaking to their computers before the kids get up and monopolise them for games and zwinky toolbar construction.

MyBlogLog Sunday is 21 tomorrow
MyBlogLog Sunday 21 will be up and running tomorrow. No candles or presents, but it will be overflowing with mini reviews of 10 blogs that you may or may not have heard of before. To take part, there is no catch, no hard "rules".
Around 11 am on Sunday I will take a screenshot of the MyBlogLog widget in my sidebar. If you are one of the 10 faces and you leave a comment linking to the best post you wrote last week, I will do a mini review of your site.
Apart from last week, where I screwed up big time, the featured blogs get to stay on the homepage (PR5) all week and live in the archives forever! And no strings. It is free to become a MyBlogLog member. and you aren't even obliged to join The Pisstakers scintillating community if you don't want to. How easy and useful is that?!!!
I said no strings attached, but in the spirit of an internet built on links between cool sites, it would be great if you mentioned the Pisstakers somewhere on your blog, in a post or install a widget for your sidebar.
Don't forget to call by tomorrow, and all you blogmasters looking for a bit of exposure, feel free to blitz me with comments with a link to the best post you wrote this week!
hasta tomorrow, babies!
MyBlogLog Sunday 19

The screenshot of the MyBlogLog widget seems to be populated by several new visitors, which is good to see. Welcome! You will all get a mini review - as long as you leave a comment here with a link to your best post of the week. And to answer Nurse Myra, yes you can try and participate as many weeks as you like.
If you haven't done so already, you have till about 6pm to leave a link and then I will get to work.

Just to bring the Tour de France theme of recent weeks to an end, congratulations were in order for Team Discovery Channel. Their Spanish mountain goat, Alberto Contador, or AC to his doctor, won the yellow jersey. Enhorabuena for now. But was Contador drugs free? I don't know, but the MyBlogLog Sunday feature is definitely clean.

Be a MyBlogLog member.
Visit this site sometime before 11am Sunday and leave a comment below with a link to your best post of the week. That is it! The rest is up to chance.
Around 11 am on Sunday I will take a screenshot of the MyBlogLog widget in my sidebar. If you are one of the 10 faces and you have left a comment, I will do a mini review of your site based on your best post.
It is quite a popular feature and there are some competitive guys out there always itching for a mini review. Your review stays on the homepage (PR5) all week and stays in the archives forever!
If you leave a comment but aren't included in the mini reviews, at least you will have publicised your best post to the masses who call by during the week for a look.
Hope to see you.

To claim a mini review, all you have to do now is leave a comment below and include a link to the best post you wrote this week.

MyBlogLog Sunday returns
The rules!!! If you are one of the 10 bloggers that appear in the MyBlogLog widget sometime around 10am Sunday, AND you leave a link to your best post of the week in the comments section of this post, you will get a mini review of scintillating proportions. Easy money.
Funny comment of the week will get a mention too. For an idea of what to expect overall, check out past MyBlogLog Sunday episodes.
Bonus full review and gummi bears. I have fallen out of sync with this mighty fine award for the mini reviewee sending the most traffic to the Pisstakers in the week after their review. I need an address from Claire so I can send in her stale gummi bears.
I will do a full review for Larry. and if he could forward a customs pass too, that would be cool. (I fear the gummi bears will get a full body search at the Canadian border unless all paperwork is in order.)
And Territerri was the number one trafficker last time out, so a review and gummis are hers too. Let Ed know where to send stuff.
See you tomorrow.
MyBloglog Sunday 15
Today MyBlogLog Sunday staggers under a new ruling into part 15 at the Pisstakers.
We are gathered here today to witness a new dawn in interactivity on MyBlogLog Sunday.
Up till now, if you called by The Pisstakers on a Sunday morning before I started blogging, you might have been captured in the screen shot and given a mini review too. Easy money for a spot on a PR5 site.
The new request /rule/guideline/plea is:
In order to improve the quality of this feature even more, I am also asking aspiring MBL Sunday participants who call by before 10-11am Sunday mornings, to post a link in this comments box, leading me (and the masses) to the best post of the week on your own blog. (Or perhaps share news of some snazzy new development or feature on your site.) If I have a post / info to look at, I will mini review you. If there is no link to check out, sorry, but, I won't, and you will be noticeable by your absence!
Jump in and win-win, because even if you call by on a Sunday and leave a link but don't end up on the last 10 on the widget, you still get to plug your blog post!
Just for this transitional week, I am emailing you guys on the widget and giving you till 6pm to leave a link. Good to you aren't I. I will launch the new mini reviews with glee later this evening.
Next week, back to a 10-11am screenshot schedule and mini reviews out by mid afternoon.
So endeth the lesson.

Revised rule for MyBlogLog Sunday
After reading a few posts around the net on commenting and comments, I am going to slightly revamp MyBlogLog Sunday.
You will get a mini review on Sunday if :
You are one of the last 10 bloggers to appear on the MyBlogLog widget when I start blogging on Sunday mornings, AND
You post a link in this comments box, leading me (and the readers) to what you consider to be the best post of the week on your site.
You are one of the last 10 bloggers to appear on the MyBlogLog widget when I start blogging on Sunday mornings, AND
You post a link in this comments box, leading me (and the readers) to what you consider to be the best post of the week on your site.
Cool. That way, you get to interact with visitors to the Pisstakers and I get a hint at what you might like me to focus my attention on. (To be honest, it may not sway the angle of my mini review in any way, but then again, it might!)
So far MyBlogLog Sunday consists of 3 blogs who left a post to link to. I will extend my breakfast time to see if there are any more takers! Thanks.
MyBlogLog Sunday 14
Today MyBlogLog Sunday cruises into part 14 at the Pisstakers.
It is an early blogger who catches the mini review this morning. The sun burst through the window most rudely and woke me up way ahead of schedule. What is a person to do when there is no coffee on the menu to lessen the pain? Therefore, the 10 bloggers this week are the nine o'clockers. Let's pray there is no sun next week so we can get back to a more civilised 10 or elevensies. And maybe I can lose this monk-like habit and drink more coffee too.
Thanks for taking part today, and to those of you who don't know what on earth is going on here, the MBL Sunday rules are explained here. (As a hint, be a MyBlogLog member who visits here just before I start blogging on Sundays - usually 10 to 11am!)

Update on the outcome of MyBlogLog Sunday "program"
The hope was to generate shout outs from reviewees who then tagged those posts in Technorati. About half of reviewees tend to do this! Not that the mini reviews have been in vain, as about 100 people a day check out the Pistakers MyBlogLog community - and some even cruise on by the blog. Plus it gives me the chance to really read other blog posts which is like being paid to have fun.

MyBlogLog Sunday 13
Today is the belated back to school MyBlogLog Sunday - part 13 at the Pisstakers.
Coffee has been replaced by bottled water for my Sunday beverage of choice. I will live longer and healthier, but life will feel less rich dunking my toast in cold water. Oh well.
Here are the 10 lucky faces for this episode of MyBlogLog Sunday, brought to you finally by a blogger with no distracting commitments. After a while away from the blogosphere it will be doubly interesting for me too to dive into different domains around the internet and check out what has been happening, and spot any new trends, other mini reviewers emerging....

MyBlogLog Sunday 12
Today is the dozenth MyBlogLog Sunday - part 12 at the Pisstakers.
It seems that for every cup of coffee consumed, you need 8 cups of water to clear the effects out your system. Time to get a potty.
Hey ho to the 10 lucky faces of MyBlogLog Sunday. Let's see what's new and happening on different domains around the internet.
After 120 mini reviews, Mission control has asked me to give a thumbs up to the good folks who give this plug a mention on their site on a regular basis - that's just what was envisioned at launch time.
An apology to the people caught up in this without realising what is going on.
And a gentle reminder that if you sought a mini review here and got one, or if you go to Technorati and see that The Pisstakers is one of your backlinks, why not be a bud and tell someone other than the people living in your house that you were on MBL Sunday or referenced in an article! Bloglyne has a contest related to the March of Dimes on June 7th. I think how it works is that 3 selected contributors of cash will get a link back as a bonus. The Pisstakers can't win a link because we aren't viewable by all folks everywhere, but no reason why we can't tell you so you can benefit!

Kumiko has a contest, and I am going to win 150 tickets with the following statement! Kumiko has a new domain and she's giving me a chance to make money online too with her new Cash Quest Competition!! She may want to read this article I did about Google Bombs, in case some of it applies to her keyword tactic.
Google goodies were on offer from Me and My Drum! The contest ended, can't see a winner, but go and read the blog, it is pretty interesting.

MyBlogLog Sunday 10
Today's a double digit MyBlogLog Sunday - part 10, no less, at the Pisstakers.
I am not quite back in the groove, because unlike last week, where I over-caffeinated my race-tuned body, this time the coffee pot is still brewing. Picture me, if you will, shaking uncontrollably as I take snapshots of the widget. Luckily the camera is a hi-tech self righting model, The Steve Jobs Screen Shooter version X, and is steadier than my hand. Without further ado, though, these are the next 10 souls lined up for a mini review later today.
It looks like 2 new kids on the block, some long lost friends, and the Mouseski / Callie / Mind Patterns rail road show - plus of course that persistent man from Malaysia who is screaming in anticipation - the fabled view bar from Agloco is now crippled alpha software as opposed to vapor ware!!!
Thanks for taking part today, and to those of you who don't know what on earth is going on here, the MBL Sunday rules are explained here. (As a hint, be a MyBlogLog member who visits here just before I start blogging on Sundays!)

There are 4 more bloggers already lined up for release next week, with some insightful and amusing responses. Go on, 5 simple questions about YOU. It is like falling off a log.

MyBlogLog Sunday 9
Today's another MyBlogLog Sunday - part 9, no less, at the Pisstakers.
I have already consumed 2 pints of coffee this morning. This isn't normal practice for readying myself for mini reviews, but it was the only way to keep my cool as I went retro, restoring a few articles lost in a crash yesterday. Anyway, here are another 10 souls lined up for a mini review later today.
It looks like 3 new kids on the block, a couple of long lost friends, some perennial and brilliant mainstays of the growing community and a man from Malaysia who obviously sees more of a future in MyBlogLog Sunday than he does in Agloco!!!
Thanks for taking part and for them that don't know the gig here on Sundays, the rules, haha, are explained here. (As a hint, be a MyBlogLog member who visits here just before I start blogging on Sundays!)
By next Sunday the mini reviews will be farmed out for posterity to the archives, a permanent reminder of their glorious moment, a permanent back link, blah blah.
Whether you are a super surfer or a blogger, I hope you enjoy reading my one-liner summary before visiting 10 diverse blogs.

MyBlogLog Sunday 8
Today's another MyBlogLog Sunday - part 8 at the Pisstakers.
I took a break from the normal coffee routine and had some pizza, water and CSI Miami for breakfast. Pumped and ready to blog, I have taken this snapshot of the 10 MyBlogLog bloggers who last visited the Pisstakers. These early morning/late night visitors will be the main feature on the homepage later today and will be here on view in some shape or form all week.
This is week 8 and I have mini-reviewed about 60 different blogs. With over 100,000 MyBlogLog members, there is plenty of room for newcomers. The format is explained below.
By next Sunday the mini reviews will be farmed out for posterity to the archives, a permanent reminder of their glorious moment, a permanent back link, blah blah.

MyBlogLog Sunday 7
Today's the day for MyBlogLog Sunday part 7 at the Pisstakers. Time flies.

Sorry guys, I seemed to be ill this morning. I thought it was Lime's Disease, then cholera, but the symptoms have gone after an extra snooze. So, it is a delayed coffee in hand, a snapshot and the 10 MyBlogLog bloggers who last visited the Pisstakers. These early morning/late night visitors will be the main feature on the homepage later today and will be here on view in some shape or form all week.
As this is week 7 and there seems to be a good formula in process, the following spiel is the same as last week's and is for for the benefit of newcomers. Thanks for your patience. Oh yeah, and Callie Ann won the gummi bears and review for sending most traffic to The Pisstakers. Congratulations Callie Ann.
Tango Cherie has a great link to a Win-a-Steak contest. Pure Argentinian beef, hormone free, happy cow meat, and lots of it.
Blog About Your Blog have upped the ante and sooner rather than later one of the first 200 to subscribe to their RSS feed will win a mini fridge. Hurry hurry.
The Pisstakers "You won't win a Zune" contest was launched quietly last week. The first one to guess what the mystery prize is from the clues, winzzzzzzzz. (Last week's introductory clue was, Anyone with taste will like it!) Today's second clue: It looks like a mouse but isn't furry.

MyBlogLog Sunday, a Technorati fiddle?
I was looking around the internet at different Technorati gaming strategies. There are some clever folks out there. One by one they seem to hit a wall, though, and Technorati puts their foot down. I don't know if they all deserve Technorati's wrath, but secretly (or not now I am going to reveal all!) I don't much care for winning by any means. It is why I have never won much, I guess!
It got me thinking that perhaps MyBlogLog Sunday was considered in that sphere of link love influence. Every Sunday, I record the last 10 MyBlogLog bloggers to visit the Pisstakers before I hit blogging mode. When I have also picked out a witty comment of the week from a MyBlogLog visitor, I write a slightly witty mini review of each site with plenty of links included.
Admittedly, Technorati does like The Pisstakers a little more each day, but for the most part, to any cynics out there, the only hidden agenda in the MyBlogLog Sunday idea is that I am promoting (in a mini way) the MyBlogLog community members who can be bothered to visit The Pisstakers on a traditionally quiet Sunday. In turn, some alert their visitors to my site and traffic comes back my way. So, from where I am sitting, I don't see myself as a link lover per se. I simply thought that writing and linking and interacting with people, not robots and scripts, was how the internet worked!
Looking out from my ivory tower, the feature seems to be a welcome addition to the blog world, MyBlogLog themselves are supportive in their quiet way, and people with sweet teeth love the prize of 1lb of gummi bears. (That mighty prize plus indepth review, goes to the top referrer amongst the 10 mini reviewed bloggers.) All told, this weekly feature has helped create some buzz. but has not artificially inflated rankings for The Pisstakers, at least I don't think it has. Others may think different? Let me know.
I haven't really thought of MyBlogLog Sunday as a way to game MyBlogLog either. I had about 40 contacts at the start, and am adding about 10 a week. Not exactly going well if I am trying to get in the top 10!
Remember, any blogger who writes a post about MyBlogLog Sunday or mentions their mini review, should tag it in Technorati. I will find it and you will get a second link - amidst a real sentence or two!
Oh yeah, when I review blogs on Sundays, I do spend time looking around, usually start on the homepage, go to the About Page and then on from there. I also try to find the good bits, but if there aren't any, I will say so too. As we all know, love hurts sometimes!! See you tomorrow.

MyBlogLog Sunday 5: gummi bear & review winner Update
After great debate and hand-wringing, Polli has magnanimously surrendered her gummi bears and review prize to a worthy runner-up, Linda at Are We There Yet?
(Polli's real motive was to pass on the cost of gummi-related dental work to someone else and Polli is now eating the last of her pink gummis with toothbrush in hand and a smile of relief on her face.)
