Nasa to build moon station - a solution to certain issues?
05 Dec 06 Filed in:Travel
The Bulgarian news agency, Novinite, reports NASA's plans for a station on the south pole of the moon. The space race is now on in earnest - a race perhaps for space to set up camps for undesirables, such as illegal immigrants, Guantánamo prisoners, retired politicians?
Getting to the moon is no longer a challenge, but staying there surely is and the US space agency have decided to conquer that peak too, after managing the first moon landing in 1969.
Unveiling the agency's bold plan for a return to the moon, NASA said it will establish an international base camp on one of the moon's poles, permanently staffing it by 2024, four years after astronauts land there. Novinite.com via Digital Journal.
