This guy clearly has a good idea, broadcasting interviews with politicos from a house in London. The political scene is full of characters full of life and capable of very lively conversation. His droning monologues, however, are more suited to "Down"ing Street. Rest assured, his team does a lot better interacting with sparky gurus and commentators.

They say the Germans can speak English better than the English. (Is it any wonder after 10 years' study at school and wall-to-wall US sitcoms on deutsche TV?) English is also the universal language in international transport, be it in the air or on the oceans. You would therefore expect a German Coastguard to respond smartly to a distress call in English.
