Contests abound all over the internet. Gummi bears are a hit on MyBlogLog Sunday, a Wii was given away recently on John Chow, and years ago in the UK, Hoover went close to bankrupcy giving away free transatlantic flights in exchange for a washing machine purchase. They sold a shed load of appliances, but the whitest thing in the company product line was the face of executives counting the cost of the promo.
