This site linked to us by mistake. It is a collection of fashion articles arranged cleverly to pad out the main content of the site: Google Adsense. Consequently it should best be described as a directory.

First impressions of Fashion 102.com

Initially I thought the brown-bannered website was a phoney blog. Then I thought that was perhaps an unfair reflection on lots of hard work done on behalf of the site owner by friends and relations and anyone with a typewriter and an eye for fashion. So, to be fair, I stepped back, surfed around some more - and came to another conclusion.

Daily human input to this site probably finished when the programmer auto launched the website. I am sure (s)he now just tweaks a script here or there and collects checks from Google, which is fine. (For the record, I am insanely jealous as I write this review for zero financial return!)

The page that erroneously links fashion102.com to The Pisstakers

If you look at the page in question, there is an adsense block and then a selection of article out-takes from the fashion industry, us included! For the record, The Pisstakers is not the home of fashion journalism, but we do appear in the list amongst fashion CAD software and how to start a fashion design business. This is by mistake not by design. The site content is automated and we are just a scraped link based solely on the strength of one heavily manipulated keyphrase, ironically, "Italian ...design".

How funny that of all the thousands of words we have written, a fashion site picks up on a keyphrase related to swanky new theme editing software from Italy. The wonders, and ineptitude of fashion house SEO! At least it gives us another chance to plug some web work by the great Bonsai Studio!

Doing some research for this review, I came across the following article on bikinis. (Norbit's girlfriend sprang to mind too, and slightly tainted the seriousness of everything I read.)

In conclusion

There are surely better sites for fashion fans, and more appropriate sites for a satire/vaguely funny site like The Pisstakers to link to.
