Abandon All Fear review
Jan/07 Filed in: Abandon all fear

Alex "NO?" Fear, rules the politically incorrect hell of a religious website. At the same time, On Abandon All Fear he posts very clever social commentaries that the UK public could crucify him for, if only they knew how. In his spare time, he is also resigned to writing the Bedworthian, a penance for the benefit of one fan.
Potted history
It seems that this able satirical blogger lives the high life in Warwickshire, UK. (That is pronounced worrick-sheer, Ingland for US readers and ˈwɒɹɪkˌʃə/, /ˈwɔːɹɪkˌʃə/ for phoneticists). At some stage in his action-packed life he got wanderlust and went to America where his heart was captured by a beautiful belle. She may or may not be Southern, we aren't sure, as records are sketchy. Either way, she seduced him and then he teased her, inviting her to return with him to the UK for a romantic Midlands wedding.Apparently, honesty was not the best policy at a UK airport, and he had to wave his love farewell (or was it bid her ta-ta for now) without an inch of her American feet touching real UK soil. She was allowed off the plane, and was free to stand in line, but the No-Mans land of Customs at Heathrow doesn't really count as good old England. It is all documented on his Abandon all Fear website.
History repeats
We empathised with him on this tragic, albeit temporary episode, having been hauled out myself many years ago and charged with the same intention, to marry illegally. As the son of a prison-prowling preacherman, it was a ridiculous charge for me to take seriously, but you never know with them there officials. They let us go, luckily. Suppressing a smile and the urge to use the great US phrase, "Peckerhead" I accepted my freedom, and introduced an American, known to me for one month, to Morris dancing, warm beer and rain. That was my reward. It will be Alex' too, one day, surely!More from Alex Fear, god blogger.
He also authors the hellishly entitled blog,Dark Side of the Light I find your lack of faith disturbing...
Our take on his Christian-oriented website is more guesswork than fact. As a prowling preacher's boy, the whole idea of reading and thinking about Christianity is appalling. It is so tedious discussing property deals in god's name, and cow-towing to a belief that has seen thousands and thousands of corpses created in the name of the lord. So, apologies for not getting entirely engrossed in Alex Fear's Christian works.
But had we been more open-minded, it appears we would have found an intelligent and witty blogger singing from a humorous hymn sheet. We presume by the content of his blogroll, that unlike us heathens, he is an agitated Christian guy trying to make sense of the man-made nonsense clouding a religion he truly believes in. If that is so, good for him, he should meet my old man, another stirrer with far better intentions than the sanctimonious people he called to account on numerous occasions.
And finally, what is Bedworthian?
Apart from another platform for Mr Fear's cutting wit, it is the name of an inhabitant of Bedworth, which is what Alex Fear is. The term is slightly more classical than Brummy which is the name for a Birmingham bod, and more easy on the tongue than Walsallian, the synonym for evil-speaking witch. Interestingly, the average Bedworthian enjoys Shakespeare, rugby and fox hunting. (Thank you wikipedia for that information, it sounds credible, unlike the recent Doritos post where a spamming wikipedian announced that a new Cock flavor was coming out soon!)Having analysed his profile, however, he may be better off living in Scotland, as his favorite films are Braveheart and his books of choice include (or are written by?) Ewan McGregor & Charley Boorman.
This is an update to an article on a great British blogger. Never let it be said that a good story got in the way of the facts.
While I'm very honoured and bemused at the description, cleverly written and quite funny, I do need to correct some factual errors:
I did live in Warwickshire, but have recently moved to Ealing
My wife is Canadian, and we met in Switzerland... long story, don't ask
The wedding was in Maui, a slight distance from the Midlands AF's right to reply
